All wards are fully air conditioned with climate control,proper ventilation,odour and sound control.We also use the latest in “dry bed” technology to ensure your pet is always comfortable.

Our philosophy at East Port is to promote preventative medicine.Your pet’s wellbeing is our main concern and we provide a full range of services to ensure that your pet is completely cared for including:

Nutrition and Health Products
We stock a wide range of premium quality diets for both dogs and cats. These are designed to provide optimum nutrition for all stages of life.We also carry a large range of prescription diets which are utilised to assist in the management of medical conditions.

The Hospital maintains a complete supply of prescription medications in our pharmacy so we can provide on the spot treatment for patients at the time of consultation. In addition we stock a comprehensive range of high quality preventative health care products and pet accessories to keep your pet safe and happy all of the time!

Puppy Preschool
We hold regular preschool classes for our younger patients to help start them off on the right paw! These courses are expertly run by Maren Von Holtum, a qualified dog trainer with a degree in behavioural sciences, in conjunction with our hospital staff. Classes are held at the hospital and are designed to socialise puppies, identify and remedy early behavioural problems and teach you how to teach your dog!

“Drive - thru” Service
We understand that in today’s busy world convenience is critical, so we have introduced a “drive-thru” service. If you are from out of town or work, school and family commitments make appointments difficult, simply drop your pet off with us in the morning for a stay in our comfortable pet accommodation.

One of our veterinary staff will tend to your pets needs and provide you with a telephone report during the day. Then you can pick up your pet at a convenient time during the afternoon.

There is no additional charge for this service.

Home visits—Pick up—Delivery
It is usually quicker and less expensive to bring your pet to the hospital. However, where this is not practical, we can arrange either a house call by one of the veterinarians or for your pet to be collected and delivered back to you by a veterinary nurse.

Native Wildlife
It has been a longstanding policy of the practice to treat Australian native wildlife at no charge.

Fees
Before commencing any treatment course we encourage you to discuss the anticipated investment with the veterinarian.To keep expenses and hence our fees to a minimum, we do not offer credit. Payment is required at the time of consultation or discharge from hospital.We accept cash, cheque, major credit cards and offer EFTPOS facilities. Seniors are offered a discount on professional fees.

East Port Veterinary Hospital also offers the GE Money Care Credit scheme to assist you in any unforseen circumstances. Please see staff for further information.
