About East Port Veterinary Hospital Port Macquarie

When Gary & Priscilla Turnbull acquired ownership of East Port Veterinary Hospital in 2001, it was a well established vet in Port Macquarie of 20+ years. We very quickly grew from a small family-owned vet, into one of Port Macquarie’s largest veterinary hospitals.

In 2005, the hospital underwent major renovations, to allow us to offer the highest level of services to our clientele. We openly invite you to take a tour of our state-of-the-art facilities during your next visit with us.

When a family member is unwell, you want peace of mind that they are in the best of hands. We feel privileged that you have entrusted us with your pets’ healthcare and well-being. We endeavour to exceed expectations with the high quality veterinary care we provide. It’s a job we take very seriously!

Each, and every member of our team will ensure your pet is comfortable, safe and well looked after during their stay with us.

You are our number one priority. If you’re happy, so are we. We really appreciate your feedback for a job well done. Equally, if ever you feel something has fallen through the cracks, please let us know immediately, we cannot fix something we don’t know about!

We have a long-standing relationship with RSPCA NSW, regularly offering our services to local Emergency Care, Desexing and Vaccination programs for pets in need.

It’s our belief that all pets have the right to access quality healthcare when they need it the most.
While our staff are highly trained to be experts in their field, they continue to maintain and expand their knowledge and skills at every opportunity. Our team are continually educating themselves in their areas of expertise – whether that be in the most advanced surgical procedures and medical treatments, the most effective work practices, nursing procedures or customer service.

The health and well-being of our team is paramount. In order to help alleviate the ongoing stress and overwhelm affecting our team, we currently work within a shared after-hours arrangement with the other three Port Macquarie clinics. We also utilise Vetchat, a veterinary triage service, outside of hospital hours.
